Why Switch To Microsoft Dynamics CRM?
Why clients chose Microsoft Dynamics CRM to replace the application they were using
Excitation has customers who have moved from the following for the reasons given. Collaboration, integration to other applications (e.g. email, accounts packages, web applications) and automation of business processes are among the most common business drivers behind adoption of Dynamics CRM.
Microsoft has a long-term investment programme for Dynamics CRM which will see integration to Microsoft Office and other Microsoft technologies already owned by our customers become even greater. Microsoft is also renowned for investing a greater proportion of its revenue in R&D than any of its competitors.
By far the most common Dynamics CRM implementation is one which replaces an ad hoc or bespoke system. Spreadsheets and Microsoft Access databases have been amazing in their support for business during the transition from paper to on-line business practices, but they don't scale in the same way as modern CRM solutions, and certainly don't integrate with other applications and provide true collaborative working.
Dynamics CRM reduces the dependency on spreadsheets and combines information previously distributed across multiple computers and workers! This alone can save our customers tens of thousands of pounds in lost revenues when PCs crash or staff leave.
This is a hosted-only solution, so cannot offer the same choices as Dynamics CRM of in-house or hosted deployment. Also, Dynamics CRM's tight integration to Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and Word, as well as the greater integration potential to other business applications, means that the scope of the application is much greater than simply as a CRM tool.
The on-going monthly costs of a hosted solution spreads the investment initially, but over the long-run many companies prefer to have ownership and reduce their costs year on year. The return on investment for Dynamics CRM is compelling and includes greater flexibility, customisation and user up-take.
This is now a legacy application which has served many of its customers well. However, Excitation has many customers who have seen Dynamics CRM as a 21st Century replacement and migrated their data to the new platform to take advantage of the function-rich, robust application Microsoft has developed.
Sage has three CRM products on offer, each acquired and with a separate code base and target market. Dynamics CRM offers the same application across the board - Excitation has implementations for single figures of users up into the hundreds.
